SWABI, June 20: The Chhota Lahore tehsil municipal administration has approved a Rs16 million budget for 2005-06. Tehsil Nazim Haji Mohammad Amin said on Monday that both the treasury and opposition members would get equal share in development funds. He said Rs9.7 million had been allocated for non-developed expenditure and Rs4.3 million for development.

He said Rs1.8 million had been earmarked for the citizen’s community boards to undertake welfare activities.

He said Rs200,000 would be spent on welfare projects for women. Mr Amin said women councillors would get the same share in development funds as other members.

The tehsil nazim said the officials concerned would monitor the development work. Women councillors said they would play their due role in the development of the area, especially women.
