MIRPURKHAS: A couple and their toddler son died when the Qingqi rickshaw they were riding was hit by a speeding truck in Mirwah Gorchani town on Thursday.

Mr Bhurji, his wife Premi and their two-and-a-half-year-old son died on the spot. Two other persons accompanying them, Suresh and Pradeep, were seriously injured in the accident. They were provided emergency aid at the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital and then referred to a major hospital in Hyderabad.

In another accident, a van hit a motorcycle at Khipro Naka in Mirpurkhas leaving one of the bikers, Nand Lal, dead and the other one, Balchand, seriously injured.

BADIN: A head-on collision between a car and a pick-up left three persons dead and seven others injured at Bachal Water bus stop near Shaheed Fazil Rahu (previously Golarchi) town along Badin-Karachi road on Thursday evening.

SUKKUR: Two persons were killed when a passenger coach collided with a pick-up carrying cattle at Buledi Laro in the Aliabad area near Jacobabad city on Thursday. Three buffaloes and two cows were also killed in the accident.

The deceased were identified as Gulab Thakur, Ahmed Khan and Ali Asghar Samejo. Four of the injured victims were said to be in precarious condition.

The deceased were identified as coach driver Raban Buriro and cattle trader Manzoor Ali Talani.
