LAHORE, June 19: Federal Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan called on former PML-Q president Mian Azhar at the latter’s residence here on Sunday. Both the leaders in their over-an-hour-long meeting reportedly discussed national political scenario and forthcoming local body polls, especially in Lahore.

The minister’s younger brother, Haroon Akhtar Khan, is also an aspirant for the office of Lahore district Nazim.

“Keeping in view the political importance of Lahore, they agreed that any decision about its political future must be taken after proper deliberations,” a source close to the minister said.
