SOME government officials are hoodwinking the government/public by replacing green government number plates on their official cars by black and white plates.
There was a time when such action was required for security reasons, but nowadays it does not exist. At least, in Islamabad the official car number plates start with letter ‘G’, which can easily be spotted.
The sole purpose is to use official cars for personal purpose without getting noticed by the public.
The authorities concerned should take cognisance of this and take remedial action to avoid unnecessary burden on the national exchequer.
