Inter-club hockey from today

RAWALPINDI, June 17: The Rawalpindi District Inter-club hockey championship will bully off at Naseer Bunda Stadium at Morgah from Saturday. Two matches are on the cards for the opening day — Pindi Brothers to meet Elliot Club at 4.30p.m. and Al-Asad Club to take on Cantt. Club at 5.30p.m.

President of DHA, Rawalpindi, Pervez Aslam Kiani is the chairman of the organising committee while Muhammad Ikhlaq Usmani, who is also the Director (North) of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), will be the tournament director.

The other tournament officials are: Muhammad Murtaza Bhatti/ Muhammad Faheem Anwar (tournament secretary), Zaheerul Haq and Muhammad Yasin (assistant tournament secretary), Messrs. Rashid, Ehsanul Haq, Muhammad Ashraf, Tahir Shirazi, Ahmed Jalil and Shaikh Ali Ahmed (members organising committee).—APP
