RHAIM YAR KHAN, June 17: At least four people died of gastroenteritis in Rahim Yar Khan on Thursday night. According to an official handout, four patients suffering from gastroenteritis were expired during the last 24 hours in the Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

Rahim Yar Khan and its adjoining areas have been in the grip of the disease for well over four months. More than 600 patients have been brought to the Sheikh Zayed Hospital and almost 180 patients are being treated in different wards.

When contacted, Dr Akhtar Masood said the people should drink boiled water. He also advised the people not to use rotten fruit and vegetables and use ORS in case of disease.
