QUETTA: National Party President Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has said his party will not accept any deduction in Balochistan’s constitutional share in the next National Finance Commission (NFC) award and it will oppose any rollback of the 18th Amendment.

Speaking at the Kech Council of the National Party in Turbat, he said that after years of struggle the provinces had got their rights through the 18th Amendment, but the PTI government was unable to swallow it.

“The National Party will not allow denial of constitutional rights of smaller provinces and no-one will be allowed to reverse the 18th Amendment,” Mr Bizenjo said.

He said that instead of increasing the share of provinces in the NFC, the federal government was planning to reduce it, but the NP would vehemently oppose any such federal government move.

He demanded of the Transparency International to review the federal government’s agreements with managements of Saindak project and Sui Southern Gas Company.

He asked NP workers to intensify preparations for the party’s congress.
