Jatoi-Mahar feud claims one life

SHIKARPUR, June 17: One person was killed and another injured in a deadly clash between Jatoi and Mahar tribesmen in the Chand Mahar village, Lakhi taluka, on Friday.

According to reports, some groups of armed Jatoi clansmen attacked the Chand Mahar village as a result of exchange of fire, Naik Mohammad Mahar was killed and Ranjho Mahar was seriously injured, who was sent to a hospital in Lakhi.

The clash between Mahars and Jatois is said to be result of an ongoing tribal feud.

The Lakhi police on receiving information reached the spot and controlled the situation.

No case was registered till the filing of the report.
