KARACHI: A healthy four-race card which envisaged participation of 30 horses barring last-minute withdrawal has been drawn for the Gymkhana race meeting which is slated to take place at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

This is an indicator that the Karachi Race Club (KRC) has overcome equine flu that has gripped the stables approximately for the last one month. The disease has compelled the KRC to curtail the number of races with fewer horses in the preceding weeks.

The Glorious Cup, which is also day’s feature event scale order II, III and IV to be contested over four-and-a-half furlongs, is the main attraction. It has a field of nine acceptors. It is the third race in racing order.

The other three races of the day have seven acceptors apiece.

Three horses, all from Lahore, bay mare Aas Pass, chestnut mare Pick Power and bay mare Killing Eyes will make their debut at the course.

The first race gets into action at 3.15pm.

THE GLORIOUS CUP SCALE ORDER II, III AND IV 4 ½ F:
