LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s statement branding Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf as Tehreek-i-Intiqam is simply laughable as only corrupt elements who are seeing the noose being tightened around their necks are crying foul, said PTI Sindh president Amir Bakhsh Bhutto.

Mr Bhutto said in a press statement on Friday that instead of criticising PTI Bilawal should look into the deeds of his party’s 10-year rule which was littered with incidents of political victimisation.

He cited cases lodged against him, Shirazis of Thatta, Zulfikar Mirza, Liaquat Ali Jatoi and Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto as brazen examples of political victimisation, which were just tip of the iceberg.

He said that PPP leaders stooped so low that even a low-ranked employee was transferred from one district to a remote area in punishment.

Mr Bhutto said that PPP had in its 10-year tenure deprived opponents of development schemes, jobs and even postings and trampled over all rules to favour jialas.
