LAHORE: A fine century by Asmatullah helped City Gymkhana to beat Mehboob Park Gymkhana by 51 runs at the Township ground here on Thursday, entering the semi-final of the M. Siddiq Memorial Cricket Tournament.

Asmatullah hit a knock of 114 runs with the help of 10 boundaries and two sixes as City Gymkhana piled up 302 for seven in 40 overs. In reply, the losing side could muster a total of 251 for nine in 40 overs. Mehmood Abdullah did the main damage with bowling figures of four for 37.
