GWADAR: A Frontier Corps (FC) man was martyred when unknown assailants opened fire at him near Makan Hotel in the main Turbat Bazaar on Saturday.

Police and the FC personnel shifted the body to the District Hospital Turbat. The deceased was identified as Hakim Jan. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the killers.

Police described it as a case of targeted killing. No one claimed responsibility for the attack.

Elsewhere, the body of a 70-year-old man, identified as Dost Muhammad, was recovered from the Bal-Nigore area of Kech district. The man was missing for the last 29 days.

Hospital officials said the man had died of thirst and starvation.
