LAHORE: Amal Munib and Laiba Masoud reached the women’s U-18 final while Raja Zulqarnain Haider and Muqsit Amir qualified for the men’s U-18 decider here at the Punjab Junior Badminton Championships on Tuesday.

Amal ousted Meerub Bhandara 21-14, 21-4 in the first semi-final while Laiba outclassed Amna Jawad 21-13, 21-9 in the other semi-final.

In the men’s singles semi-finals, Raja Zulqarnain got the better of Anas Akhtar 21-15, 21-18 while Muqsit Amir faced tough opposition before he overpowered Tayyab Shafiq 18-21, 21-5, 21-19.
