THE Federal Public Service Commission has only two test centres in Sindh, one in Karachi and the other in Sukkur. A majority of candidates cannot afford to travel to appear for the written test.

A large number of candidates from Dadu, Sanghar, Ghotki, Mirpurkhas, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Umerkot, Tharparkar and others find it hard to travel to Karachi or Sukkur.

It is estimated that due to this inconvenience, almost 60 per cent of candidates from these areas don’t even apply for the FPSC’s jobs and remained unemployed. More test centres should be set up in the province.
