Shakaib grabs five-wkt haul

KARACHI, June 13: Medium-pacer Shakaib Ahmed captured five for 29 to help Zone-III Whites qualify for the semifinals of the KCCA Under-19 Inter-zonal cricket tournament on Sunday. Zone-III Whites needed a moderate target after Zone-V Whites were bowled out for 134 in the 48th over in the match played at the Landhi Gymkhana ground.

Behram Khan made 48 as Zone-III Whites achieved victory in 39 overs after losing five wickets. Arsalan Javed also batted well to score 40.

In Tuesday’s semifinal, Zone-III Whites take on Zone-VI Whites at the KCCA Stadium.
