Drive to raise awareness on corruption among students

LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department (SED) is going to hold competitions of essay writing, declamation and poster/ painting to raise awareness among students about corruption.

The SED had issued the schedule and topics for different competitions of essay writing, declamation and poster/ painting among students in the province.

The department also issued different topics focusing on corruption such as ‘accountability for all’, ‘corruption a curse’, ‘corruption necessity or curse?’, ‘stop corruption’, ‘let the country survive’, and ‘corruption fall of nation’.

The department selected the topics after holding meeting with the National Accountability Bureau director general.

Competitions will be held in Sargodha on Sept 26, Khushab Sept 27, Mianwali Sept 28, Bhakkar Sept 29, Faisalabad Oct 2, Jhang Oct 3, Chiniot Oct 4, Toba Tek Singh Oct 5, Gujranwala Oct 9, Gujrat Oct 10, Mandi Bahauddin Oct 11, Hafizabad Oct 12, Sialkot Oct 16, Narowal Oct 17, Sheikhupura Oct 18, Lahore Oct 19, Sahiwal Oct 23, Pakpattan Oct 24, Okara Oct 25, Kasur Oct 26 and Nankana Sahib Oct 30.

ADMISSION APPLICATIONS: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) online college admissions system application for the Higher Education Department has received 304,860 online admission applications for their FA, FSC, ICS programs in 728 colleges of the province.

The online admission system in all the colleges of the province opened on July 23 to process intermediate applications for the cycle 2018-19. The application has processed over 1.3 million applications since its launch in 2011.

The application provides a web-based facility for applicants to submit admission application(s) online. College brochures are available free-of-cost on www.ocas.punjab.gov.pk.
