KARACHI: President Sindh Softball Association (SSA), Muhammad Saleem Rajput on Monday said that the 6th Inter-District Women’s Softball Championship would be held next month in Karachi.

Addressing a meeting of the association, he said the championship would be hosted by Karachi while teams from Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Larkana and Shaheed Benazirabad would take part. He informed that for the selection of Sindh’s team for 14th National Women’s Championship, a training camp would be established in the city where qualified coaches would train the players.

He said the championship would be held in Quetta later this year. SSA President said the inter-district softball championship really helps in unearthing new talent. Softball Federation of Pakistan Secretary General Asif Azeem, SSAChairman Muhammad Ali Shah, General Secretary Muhammad Zeeshan Merchant, Finance Secretary Muhammad Nasir, Joint Secretary Murad Hussain and others attended the meeting.
