KOHAT: Four passengers, including a woman, were killed when their car crashed onto a roadside hill on the Indus Highway in Shna Kalay area of Darra Adamkhel on Friday.

Three children were also injured and referred to a hospital in Peshawar for treatment.

The family belonging to Orakzai tribal district was going to Peshawar when the vehicle hit the mountain while negotiating a sharp turn near the Kohat Friendship Tunnel in the Zarghunkhel area. Three people were killed on the spot while one passenger, Ayaz Khan, was taken to a hospital in Peshawar in precarious condition. But he succumbed to his injuries there.

The deceased hailed from Rabia Khel tribe of Orakzai.

The other three deceased were identified as Abdullah Jan, Najeeb Gul Khan and Ms Gulaba.

The local administration dispatched the bodies to their home town, and registered case into the incident.
