MUZAFFARABAD: The second “international science conference” on natural sciences, climate and biodiversity will begin here on Saturday under the aegis of University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a university spokesperson, two inter-disciplinary sessions would be held on Saturday after the opening of the three-day event by AJK President Sardar Masood Khan.

A cultural evening would also be held on Saturday, he said.

He said three scientific sessions were scheduled to be held on Sunday apart from some other activities while Monday had been reserved for excursion and socialisation.

The spokesperson said that national and international scientists from Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Germany, US and China would share their views in the areas related to medicinal plants, drugs discovery, nutraceuticals, dietary medicine, material chemistry, nano-science  molecular biology, functional and structural biology, genetics, biotechnology, soil sciences, horticulture, tunnel farming, hydroponic technology, plant - breeding, fish farming and microbiology during different sessions.

This forum would enable the rich human talent from this region to share, learn and contribute to the international community for the better outcomes of natural sciences, the spokesperson said.
