LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Wednesday announced the result of the annual intermediate examination.

Of total 167,674 candidates, 105,891 have been declared successful with a pass percentage of 63.15.

The students who got first, second and third positions were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals and Rs20,000, Rs15,000 and Rs10,000, respectively in a ceremony at Alhamra. The topper, Kashaf Sanaullah, was also awarded a laptop.

Punjab Minister for Higher Education Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz was the chief guest.

BISE Chairman Prof Chaudhry Ismail said the board had presented the result without any delay and also ensured transparency.

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Overall first three positions in the intermediate exams were won by a private college of Kot Addu.

The Dera Ghaz Khan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced its annual result 2018 posting 67.24 pass percentage.

As many as 44,279 candidates had taken part in the annual exam and 29,775 got through.

In pre-medical, Farayal Pervaiz of Punjab College, Kot Addu, bagged first position by obtaining 1057 marks and Muhammad Mahazur Rehman of college’s boys branch stood second with 1048 marks.The third position was shared by Rija Arshad of Punjab College, Kot Addu, and Ijazur Rehman of Government Postgraduate College, Layyah, with 1046 marks.

BAHAWALPUR: The BISE on Wednesday announced the result of the intermediate examination 2018.

At the award ceremony chaired by Commissioner/BISE Chairman Nayyar Iqbal, Controller Examinations Tahir Hussain Jaffery said out of total 52,331 candidates, 29,105 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 55.62. The commissioner gave away medals and prizes to position holders.
