Hadi leads trainers table

Published June 12, 2005

LAHORE, June 11: The contest for the trainers championship for the Lahore racing season 2004-05 seems to be going Haji Fazal Hadi’s way. He is at the head of trainers performance table with 30 victories inspite of his being out for a couple of months.

He is followed by Javaid Shirazi with 27 wins and Khadim Hussain 25 wins.

To his good luck his nearest rival Javaid Shirazi has lost his stable, a couple of weeks back. Similarly Khadim Hussain quit his biggest stable midway through the season.

Lady luck seems to be heavily favouring the old Haji with wrinkles on his face but fully determined to win the championship for another time.—A.G.
