PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has merged the directorate of health services of erstwhile Fata into the provincial health department.

A notification issued here said that in the pursuance of the integration and merger of erstwhile Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in order to provide better line of administrative management, the director health Fata would henceforth report to the provincial health secretary.

It said that subsequent modalities on other auxiliary matters would be decided shortly.

The notification said that in case of issues in financing, development schemes and other matters relating to erstwhile Fata viz-a-viz federal government and other partners, the health secretary might communicate and route cases as per current arrangements accordingly.
