ISLAMABAD: Robbers and thieves struck at four places in the capital city on Monday and made off with cash and valuables, the police said.

Three armed robbers raided the house of Arshad Rasheed in Ghori Town and held the owner at gunpoint.

They took with them Rs1,020,000, gold ornaments and other valuables.

Nadeem Akhtar was robbed by some men on I.J Principal Road where he had come to purchase a car.

The robbers overpowered Mr Akhtar and took from him Rs188,000 he had on him. He was then thrown out the car with his mobile phone, sans the battery.

A man was robbed of Rs23,000 and his mobile phone on Kurri Road. Auto thieves stole a CD70 model 2004 of Asad Idris from the parking area of the Sunday Bazaar.
