Pakistan baseball team got off the mark in 2018 Asian Games on Thursday with a 10-2 win over hosts Indonesia in the men's team consolation round at the Rawamangun Baseball Field.

The victory gave the national team some respite as it had lost all three of its opening matches of the event.

Next up for Pakistan is Hong Kong, whom they will face on Friday.

Hong Kong, like Pakistan, also have just one victory to their name, which came against the winless Indonesia.

Elsewhere, the Pakistan volleyball team edged out China 3-2 to notch their third victory of the event.

The national team had earlier defeated Mongolia and India, but had faced defeats at the hands of Iran and Korea.
