RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family of US Senator John McCain, Inter-Services Public Relations director general Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said in a tweet.
Senator McCain passed away on Saturday aged 82.
Mr McCain was a distinguished war veteran and an accomplished representative of his country. A friend of Pakistan who believed in great potential of Pak-US relations for common good of both countries, the ISPR chief quoted Gen Bajwa as saying.
