THE result of balloting for premiership was declared in the National Assembly on Aug 17. After the results were announced, the members delivered customary speeches.
All spoke in the national language, Urdu, save Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari who chose to deliver his speech in English. Does Bilawal know that a majority of Pakistanis do not know English?
One wonders who was Bilawal trying to impress?

That is a misinformation, 'Does Bilawal know that a majority of Pakistanis do not know English?' He was addressing a house where the parliamentarians are quite capable of understanding the language. Secondly it is not the language he spoke in, what's important is , what did he say?

What is wrong with speaking English in Pakistan? It is the most widely spoken language in the world. Those Pakistanis who don't know this language should preferably try to learn it. This will bridge the gap between us and outside world. Bilawal speaks good English but not so with Urdu so he was at liberty to choose the better option for him.
