GHALANAI: The people in Mohmand tribal district will celebrate Eidul Azha with Saudi Arabia on Tuesday as announcements have been made through loudspeakers by the local ulema in this regard.

The local people said that Eidul Azha would be celebrated in most parts of the tribal district on Tuesday.

Perveez Khan, a resident of area, said that Eid would be celebrated in Safi, Ambar, Pindaili, Safi, Haleemzai and Khwezai areas on Tuesday. He said that some Afghan families living in Ekkaghund, Shabqadar Matta and Munda camp would also celebrate Eid the same day.

RELEASE: The district administration on Monday releases 23 prisoners, mostly involved in petty crimes, to celebrate Eid with their families.

The prisoners were released on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Wasif Saeed, who presided over a meeting in that regard the other day. The meeting was attended by all the assistant commissioners and other relevant officials.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the entire tribal district to avert any untoward incident on Eidul Azha. The personnel of FC, Levis and Khasadar forces have been deployed at various busy and sensitive places.
