KARACHI: An undefeated knock of 87 from Ashir Ahmed powered Eaton CC to a clinical eight-wicket rout of Hawks Academy in the latest fixture of the Royal Premier League Karachi here on Thursday.

The opener slammed 12 boundaries and hoisted three sixes in his 50-ball innings as Eaton CC reached 153-2 midway through the 15th over after restricting their opponents to 151-3 in the stipulated 20 overs at the RLCA Gulberg Ground.

Ashir and Anop Ravi, who struck six fours in scoring 42 off 31 deliveries, set the platform for victory with a brilliant first-wicket partnership of 127.

Earlier, wicket-keeper/batsman Akbar Khan bludgeoned five sixes in a 36-ball knock of 50 while skipper Asad Arif made a 44-ball 34 with two fours after opting bat to bat first.

The tournament is being sponsored by the Orchid School.
