LAHORE: Weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country on Tuesday.

However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Hazara divisions and Islamabad and Kashmir besides at isolated places in Lahore, Malakand, Bannu, Kohat divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Jhelum recorded 95mm of rain, Rawalpindi 91mm at Shamsabad and 60mm at Chaklala, Kamra 79, Islamabad (Airport 76, Zero Point 58, Bokra 56, Golra 39, Saidpur 17), Mandi Bahauddin 55, Sialkot (airport 40, City 30), Mangla 23, Gujrat 17, Murree 10, Lahore (airport 8, City 7), Kotli 39, Garidupatta 22, Rawalakot 06, Balakot 42, Malamjaba 17, Parachinar 13, Bannu 11, Kohat, Saidu Sharif 5, Skardu 4 while Astore received 2mm rain.

The Met Department said the rain generating trough of westerly wave over the northern Pakistan lay over Kashmir and the moderate moist current from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal was penetrating upper parts of the country. Therefore, rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Hazara divisions, Kashmir while at isolated places in Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, DI Khan, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Zhob, Kalat, Mirpurkhas divisions and Islamabad in the next 24 hours.
