DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Bullet-ridden body of a lawyer was found in the limits of Yark police station here on Monday.

The deceased was named Yasar Zikrya Advocate, a member the district bar association.

According to his colleagues, Zikrya was at the district courts till 11am and later left for a meeting in Naiwelah area. However, he didn’t reach the venue of the meeting and later his body was found.

The Yark police soon after getting the information of his death rushed to the spot of the crime and shifted the body to hospital. According to doctors, he received eight bullets on his chest, neck and head.

The legal fraternity and his relatives placed the body on the Sadra Sharif road as a mark of protest.

Zikrya left behind a widow and three children to mourn his death.

Dr Mohammad Kamran, the elder brother of the deceased, lodged FIR against unknown assailants.

The district bar also announced a three-day mourning. The legal fraternity and his relatives demanded immediate arrest of the killers and award of exemplary punishment to them.
