KARACHI: The Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) has urged the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the last date for filing of the annual statement by 15 days.

In a letter to FBR, the tax bar argued that since most of their members were pre-occupied with filing of amnesty declarations (local and foreign) which also has the same final date of July 31, 2018, therefore, they failed to meet the deadline.

The date for filing of annual statement under Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 is requested to be extended by 15 days up to August 15.
