PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced that power supply will remain suspended from two to four hours for four consecutive days from Saturday (today) in parts of Peshawar due to maintenance work on transmission lines. According to a Pesco statement issued here on Friday, the power supply would remain suspended from 8am to 10am in Peshawar and as a result the consumers of areas, including Mall Road, Saddar Road and MES-2, would face inconvenience from July 28 to 31.

It was stated that the consumers of Fort Jail, Deans, Sunehri Masjid and surrounding areas would face inconvenience on the same days for two hours. However, the consumers of Kohati Gate, Qissa Khwani, Karimpura, Chowk Yadgar, Dabgary, Shuba, Kakshal and LRH areas would be affected for four hours from 6am to 10am on July 28, 29 and 30.

Meanwhile, Pesco announced that it would expedite its campaign against power theft throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It was stated that during checking carried out by Pesco surveillance teams in areas, including Shahi Bagh, Faqirabad, Rehman Baba, Nishtarabad, Pandu Road, Charsadda Urban and Seti Town subdivisions, power supply was disconnected to 75 domestic and commercial consumers for power pilferage.
