PPP ad

Published July 22, 2018

A PPP advertisement which is a part of its election campaign is being run on the media in which the party has shown a woman wearing a cross, which is a Christian symbol.

She talks desperately for seeking asylum owing to insecure situation around. This advertisement shows that the Christian community is not safe here. This advertisement ends with a message to cast vote for PPP as it protects minorities and safeguards their rights.

This is clear violation of the Election Commission of Pakistan’s code of conduct which bars parties and candidates for asking for votes on the basis of religion.

The ECP should take notice. This advertisement should be withdrawn immediately.
