KARACHI, June 3: The visiting president of the BJP and Indian opposition leader Lal Krishna Advani, arrived here from Lahore on late Friday night. At the airport, he was given official protocol and was received by provincial ministers and members of the ruling coalition. From the airport he was driven to the State Guest House.
The Karachi-born BJP president will visit Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s mazar on Saturday morning to pay respects to the founder of Pakistan. He would then visit St Patrick’s School where he had his early education before migrating to India. According to sources, the Indian opposition leader will later be received by Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan.
Mr Advani has also been invited by Hakim Ali Zardari probably for lunch at his residence and the leader of the opposition in the Sindh assembly, Mr Nisar Khuhro, will host a reception in his honour in the Sindh Assembly building. Mr Advani will also attend a function organized in his honour by the Hindu Panchayat.
