As the general elections draw closer, social media users across Twitter started discussing why voting was important and who to vote for.

The government’s press information department used its official Twitter account @pid_gov to share a video by @TheCJNetwork and said: “Your Vote is Your Right & Your Responsibility. Let’s fulfill this responsibility with sincerity, Let’s vote for Pakistan. #ElectionPakistan #Elections2018.”

@Haroonayy tweeted: Somewhere between PTI PMLN PPP we lost respect for Pakistan.. #ElectionPakistan.”

Researcher Mahnoor Sheikh tweeted: “7 more days till this puppet show. Preparations in full swing #ElectionPakistan.”

@Zaibyx who tweets under Mother of Dragons said: “Elections on Wednesday mean those who are out of town for work, or work away from hometown will not be casting votes since majority of these people go home over the weekend only. No one will go home to cast vote in middle of week for one day. #ElectionPakistan #badDecisions.”

Engineer Sardar Khan Saddozai (@EngrAhmedMahmud) said: “#ElectionPakistan Parties without chairpersons are like bodies without heads.”

Bringing up Monday’s debate on animal cruelty where alleged supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf harassed a donkey, @nooryaseen99 asked what giving the vote respect meant or worth if the party members were cruel to animals.
