MIRPURKHAS: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has decided to support former Sindh chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on NA-219, his son Arbab Inayatullah on PS-50 and disgruntled PPP leader Ali Nawaz Shah on NA-218 and PS-48.

Leaders of MQM-P Mirpurkhas district chapter announced after a meeting with Dr Rahim on Monday that the party would withdraw its candidates Sanjay Parvani (NA-218), Mir Shah Mohammad Talpur (PS-48) and Rana Tarique (PS-49) in favour Ali Nawaz Shah and his relative on PS-49 who were also supported by GDA.

Dr Rahim told journalists that he had advised MQM-P to form a strong alliance against PPP throughout Sindh and the party accepted his advice. The voters of Syed Ali Nawaz Shah and GDA would now support MQM-P’s Mujibul Haq on PS-47.
