TOBA TEK SINGH, June 2: Former MPA Mian Muhammad Rafiq, Pakistan Kissan Committee central president Chaudhry Fateh Muhammad and National Workers Party district president Rana Muhammad Azam advocate have supported the demands of the PTCL employees.

In a joint press statement issued on Thursday, they claimed that most of the profitable institutions were being given on nominal prices to multinational companies under a pre-planned conspiracy.

They said thousands of phones were out of order and subscribers were facing great hardships, but the government was doing nothing to solve their problems.

Meanwhile, the PTCL employees’ strike continued on Thursday to protest against the proposed privatization of the company.

A protest meeting was also held in the main exchange here which was addressed by union leaders.

STOPPED: Regularization cases of six English teachers of various Government Elementary Schools in the district have been stopped while services of 271 other teachers have been regularized.
