PESHAWAR: The supply of natural gas will remain suspended in most parts of the provincial metropolis on Friday (today) because of shifting of the main supply pipelines from the route of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) near GT Road.

According to a statement issued here on Thursday, the technical staff of SNGPL would shift the pipelines from the BRT to its original route.

The supply will remain suspended from 8pm on Friday evening to 4am Saturday.

The shifting of pipelines would cause suspension of the natural gas to all the localities near GT Road from Tarnab Farm to Jinnah Park, including Gulbahar, Nishtarabad, Hashtnagri, Peshawar cantonment, Khyber Road, Governor House, Chief Minister House, Ring Road and all nearby areas.

The SNGPL has advised the consumers to take precautionary measures and keep the lines off to avoid any incident.
