SARGODHA, June 1: Seven people were killed and 24 sustained injuries here on Wednesday in three road accidents in and around the city. Reports said a Bhagtanwal-bound bus (FDJ-1495) collided with a wagon (3934/Peshawar-E) in a bid to overtake a car as a result of which constable Muhammad Amin, Sakina Bibi, Iram Akhtar and Ghulam Husain died on the spot. Some of the injured were identified as Manzoor, Abdul Sattar, Razia Bibi of Jinnah Colony, Razia of Chak 64-SB, Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Shahid, Anwar, Uzma and Zulfikar.

Motorcyclist Ilyas and cyclist Fayaz were run over and killed by a speeding bus (SGG-2513) near Dhrema on Khushab-Sargodha Road.

Near Chak No.135 NB, a passenger bus collided with a rickshaw, killing Muhammad Sadiq of Chak No.132 NB on the spot and injuring six passengers.

The injured were identified as Muhammad Sharif, his wife Sharifan, Perveen Akhtar, Muhammad Irfan, Abdul Khaliq and Bashir Ahmed.
