NA-247 candidate, lawyer and activist Jibran Nasir has stirred the pot once again. He is not leaving the police station premises despite being requested to do so.

Video: Jibran Nasir Facebook page.

Nasir was reportedly picked up by a police squad near Frere police station after he "refused to give way" to a judge's convoy while on the PIDC flyover.

The lawyer's car was pushed to the roadside by the protocol after he allegedly blocked them. Nasir — who shared a video of police taking him into custody — claims he was struck with the "chamber of a gun" by the police officials.

SP Saddar Asif Ahmed Bughio has since told Dawn that Nasir was allowed to leave after the judge was informed about his identity.

However, SSP South Omar Shahid has said that Nasir is now "forcibly sitting inside the police station and has refused to leave the police station until his car is brought to him there and he is served an "explanation and apology".
