MANSEHRA: The Election Commission of Pakistan has establisheda total of 864 polling stations, including 227 for women and 396 combined, for two national and five provincial assembly constituencies in Mansehra district for the July 25 general elections.

Separate booths for men and women have been set up in the combined polling stations.

According to the ECP data, in NA-13, 473 polling stations, including 138 for men, 132 for women and 203 combined, have been set up.

In NA-14, 391 polling stations, including 103 for men, 95 for women and 193 combined, have been set up.

In PK-30, 186 polling stations have been set up, including 37 for men, 35 for women and 114 combined.

In PK-31, a total of 135 polling stations have been set up, including 55 for men, 54 for women and 26 combined.

In PK-32, 187 polling stations have been set up, including 51 for men, 48 for women and 88 combined.

In PK-33, 173 polling stations, including 37 each for men and women and 102 combined, have been set up.

In PK-34, 183 polling stations, including 61 for men, 56 for women and 183 combined, have been set up.

ISF TO STAGE PROTEST: Insaf Students Federation, the student wing of PTI, will stage a sit-in on Monday in protest against cancellation of the ticket awarded to Ambreen Swati by the party leadership.

“We will not only stage a sit-in against the injustice meted out to our party worker, Ms Swati, but will also tender resignations from our basic membership,” Gulzeb Tannan, senior vice-president of ISF, told reporters on Sunday.

He said party workers were with Ms Swati and would support her in the general elections.

“We will stage a sit-in at Khatm-i-Nabuwat Chowk to lodge our protest againstSenator Azam Khan Swati for cancelling the ticket,” said Mr Tannan.

BODY OF WOMEN FOUND: Body of a woman, who had gone missing three days ago, was fished out from Siren River in Pulwai area on Sunday.

The wife of Mohammad Pervez, who had gone for grazing animals last week, did not return home. Her family had started a search, but to no avail.

The Shinkiari police after lodging FIR started investigation to ascertain the mystery behind her death.

In another incident, a man was killed in a road accident.

Mohammad Taimur hailing from Attock district of Punjab fell from his motorcycle and was seriously injured.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital from where doctors referred him to Ayub Medical Complex, but he succumbed to injuries before reaching hospital.
