PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police on Thursday notified transfer and posting of 64 police officers from all over the province.

A notification issued by the central police office said that pursuant to the prior approval of the Election Commission of Pakistan, KP police officer under powers conferred by the section 17(4) of the KP Police Act 2017, following transfers and postings are being ordered.

Most of the transferred officers and inspectors and DSP rank including three recently promoted SPs.

The notification said that a police officer has been transferred in Hazara region, four DSPs in Peshawar, 10 in Kohat, two in Malakand, 11 in Bannu, 17 in Mardan and 10 in Dera Ismail Khan.

Three newly promoted SPs have also been transferred, while two officers have been posted to the province from the National Police Bureau, Islamabad.
