KARACHI: The city’s sky remained partly cloudy with the sun playing hide-and-seek throughout the day on Tuesday, said a Meteorological official, forecasting drizzle in the metropolis on Wednesday.

Responding to Dawn’s queries, the official said that the sea breeze continued to enter the city keeping the weather hot and humid.

He said the maximum temperature recorded in the city on Tuesday was 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 29.5 degrees Celsius. He said humidity — the amount of moisture in the atmosphere — in the morning was 79 per cent and in the evening it was 67pc.

He said the weather in the city on Wednesday was expected to be partly cloudy and cloudy with chances of drizzle and the maximum temperature would remain between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius.

He said the weather in the rest of the province remained hot to very hot and dry on Tuesday. The hottest place in Sindh was Dadu, where the maximum temperature recorded was 45 degrees Celsius. He said that some other towns where high temperatures were recorded included: Jacobabad and Rohri (43.5 degrees Celsius), Moenjodaro and Sukkur (42 degrees), Larkana and Nawabshah (41.5), Sakrand (41), Chhor (40.5) and Padidan (40).

He said that hot/very hot and dry weather with gusty winds was likely to prevail over the province on Wednesday whereas partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with chances of drizzle along the coast were expected during the night/morning hours.
