“Will you walk into my parlour?” said the spider to the fly. The spider has, at long last, enticed many a fly into its parlour by weaving an ingenious web around the candidates for the forthcoming elections.

The declaration of fabulous wealth in nomination forms and affidavits by candidates who were previously in a state of vehement denial is a tacit admission of loot and plunder.

With their admission safely tucked away in an affidavit filed under oath, it should be a cinch for the National Accountability Bureau to get to the bottom of the source of their wealth, particularly in the presence of a strong Federal Board of Revenue and an independent State Bank of Pakistan. All that is needed to establish a money trail. Let the game begin!
