RAWALPINDI: Punjab Caretaker Minister for Agriculture, Food, Planning and Development Sardar Tanveer Ilyas visited Holy Family Hospital on Monday and distributed Eidi among patients and hospital staff.

He was received at the hospital by medical superintendent Dr Shahzad Ahmed.

Mr Ilyas visited the hospital’s casualty and surgical wards and asked about patients’ health. Doctors told him that all the possible healthcare facilities were being extended to patients.

The minister also visited with patients and asked about the standard of healthcare. The patients expressed satisfaction with the behaviour of nursing and paramedical staff at the hospital and said they had been given the due attention and care.

Mr Ilyas praised the work of HFH doctors, the hospital’s management and medical staff, and said a number of people from Azad Kashmir prefer HFH for its medical treatment.

He told the press at the visit that the caretaker government had been entrusted the responsibility of organising free, fair and transparent elections and they were committed to meeting the public’s expectations.

In accordance with directions from the Election Commission of Pakistan, he said, the provincial government will fulfil its obligations to extend the utmost cooperation with regard to providing the required facilities for the elections.

He added that the performance of provincial government departments would also be improved by completing ongoing schemes and resolving grievances.
