MIRPURKHAS, May 29: People’s Party Parliamentarian MPA from Mirpurkhas, Ms Shamim Aara Panhwar, has accused the Sindh government of pressurizing her to join the ruling party. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, she said that Mohammad Ali, secretary to the Sindh chief minister, was pressurising her to quit the PPP and join the ruling PML along with members of her family.

She said as part of these pressure tactics her sister, Naseem Aara Panhwar, a DSP had been relieved from her post in Karachi and posted in the Central Police Office (CPO) as she was asked to compel me to meet the chief minister and change her loyalties.

She alleged that FIRs were lodged against her, her husband and two brothers as a political victimization. She, however, pledged to remain with the PPP.
