In a move that is not likely to go down with the disgruntled PML-N leader, a candidate from within the PML-N has filed nomination papers to challenge Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan for the NA-63 seat.

PML-N Rawalpindi President Sardar Mumtaz Khan has filed nomination papers for NA-63 in the court of returning officer Tahir Abbas Sipra.

This is the first time in 30 years that something like this has happened.

There's further cause for indignation for Nisar: the two panelists on Sardar Mumtaz's panel are also challenging Nisar's own candidates for the PP-19 and PP-20 seats.

And all of these candidates will be up against the PTI in what is being slated as a tough contest.

More on this here.
