DADU, May 29: Three police officials of the Dadu police lines were suspended and another was demoted on charges of negligence and collaborating with criminals. Speaking at a news conference on Sunday, DPO Rukhsar Khuhawar identified them as Shafqat Hussain, Ali Khan and Qasim Ali and SI Hassan Rahujo.

He said a list of other police officials, allegedly involved in crimes, was being prepared and action would be taken against them after investigation.

He said police teams from different stations launched a massive search operation in their areas and arrested 10 ‘bandits’.

He said in a massive operation, police have claimed to arrest 10 alleged bandits, nine highwaymen and 56 criminals.

He identified them as Ghulam Ali, Liaquat Gujjar, Ghulam Qadir Brohi, Mubarak, Asghar Lund, Abid Chandio, Dildar Chandio, Sanaullah Chandio, Hussain Khushik and Ramzan.

He said during the search operation 56 ‘hardened criminals’ were also arrested.

Mr Khuhawar claimed that they were wanted by the police in different heinous cases.

He said six Kalashnikovs, 37 shotguns, two rifles, 16 pistols, 163 cartridges, 115 rounds and two mousers were recovered from them.

He said two encounters took place between police and outlaws in the jurisdiction of Johi and Jhaloo police stations.

He said in the first encounter, police arrested four ‘highwaymen’ in Deeno Chandio village.
