KARACHI, May 28: The Dawoodi Bohra community in the city, like everywhere else around the globe, celebrated the 94th birthday of their spiritual leader Dr Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin on Saturday. Syedna Burhanuddin addressed his followers gathered at the mosques around the globe on Saturday morning. During his over five-hour address, relayed live through satellite, he advised the community members to follow the path of the truth and resist evils at all cost.

The community has been in a festive mood since a past few days. They decorated their houses and mosques with bunting lights to celebrate the birthday of their spiritual leader.

The Dawoodi Bohra Jamat in the city, in connection with the birthday celebrations, had taken out a colourful procession on Wednesday evening from Panorama Centre to Tahiri Mosque in Saddar, where 20 marriages were solemnized.
