12 die as truck overturns

MULTAN, May 27: Twelve people were killed and 35 others injured when a truck overturned in Daira Din Pannah area of the Muzaffargarh district on Friday. The truck with about 50 people and a number of cattle on board was its way to the Kot Addu cattle market when it overturned at the Kundi Morr, some 110km from here.

Reports reaching here said that four people died on the spot and three each at the Kot Addu tehsil headquarters hospital and the Nishter Hospital of Multan. Two people reportedly died on way to hospital. The dead were identified as Mohammad Iqbal, Ghulam Mustafa, Abdul Hameed, Abdul Majeed, Ghulam Abbas, Falak Sher, Mohammad Saleem, Ghulam Rasool, Abdul Ghafoor, Allah Diwaya, Ghulam Hussain and Allah Wasaya.
